My story is a little usual I am NOT a player I am the umpire.....I know a heavy sigh :> anyway I was covering a slow pitch game and the pitcher was wearing them so I asked him about them and he loved them he was able to cover part of the infield and even wore them when he was batting. I asked him has he ever taken a line shot off the legs and he said no but he went on and on about them. So he gave me your website I knew I needed new shin guards and yours is about the same price I normally pay but was still wondering how they would perform with a direct hit to the shins or ankles. Welllllll I got my wish, I also umpire Mens' Fast-pitch softball........yes Men's Fast-pitch, I was working the plate took a foul ball above the shin guard on that extra pad above the knee I felt it but the key part NO PAIN or a major bruise and to answer the question I did take another shot inside ankle again NO pain I was surprised.
