Smash It Sports is committed to ensuring smashitsports.com is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe every athlete and fan deserves equal access to our products, content, and services, and we are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and the benchmark commonly used to evaluate ADA compliance for websites.
Current Status
We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of our website do not yet fully meet the standard. Following a June 2026 accessibility audit, we identified areas for improvement, including some product and promotional images missing descriptive alternative text, insufficient color contrast in certain slideshow banners, some navigation links that may not be fully descriptive for screen reader users, and an embedded page element (iframe) missing a title attribute. Remediation is in progress, and we expect significant improvements by Q3 2026.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We periodically review our site — including navigation, product pages, checkout, and site search — and conduct formal accessibility reviews on a quarterly basis. Our site is tested using automated scanning tools, and we're working to expand testing to include manual keyboard navigation review and screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver). We rely on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Shopify as our hosted e-commerce platform. As our website evolves, we're committed to maintaining and improving its accessibility.
