Short Porch Horror Shop Loaded USSSA Slowpitch Bat
Welcome to the Horror Shop. Once you're in… you'll never leave.
Some bats are built to look good in the bag. The 2026 Short Porch Horror Shop was built to make pitchers nervous the moment it comes out of one. This loaded USSSA slowpitch softball bat pairs an 11.5" Aramid composite barrel with Short Porch's DDT and Spin Tech for players who want a compact barrel, aggressive performance and the kind of feel that makes you want one more swing.
The distressed, blood-splattered finish gives you fair warning. The rest happens at the plate. Horror Shop isn't here to scare anybody. The exit velocity handles that.
Horror Shop Bat Features
11.5" Aramid Composite Barrel
A compact 11.5-inch barrel built with an Aramid composite. The shorter barrel makes for a quicker, more controllable swing while still delivering a hot hitting surface.
DDT and Spin Tech
Short Porch's DDT and Spin Tech are built into the barrel to drive aggressive performance and the responsive feel slowpitch hitters chase.
Loaded Two-Piece Construction
The two-piece build gives you flex through the zone and cuts down sting on mishits. The loaded weight profile puts more mass toward the end of the barrel for hitters who want to drive the ball deep.
Certified for USSSA, ISA and NSA
Approved for USSSA, ISA and NSA slowpitch play. Always confirm your league's bat rules before game day.

Horror Shop Slowpitch Bat FAQ
Is the Short Porch Horror Shop legal for USSSA slowpitch?
Yes. The 2026 Horror Shop Loaded is certified for USSSA slowpitch, and it also carries ISA and NSA approval. It is not a USA Softball (ASA) bat. Always check your league or tournament rules before you play.
What does "Loaded" mean on a slowpitch bat?
Loaded means extra weight sits toward the end of the barrel. That end-loaded feel helps stronger hitters carry more momentum through contact for added distance. Players who prefer a quicker, lighter swing often choose a balanced bat instead.
Why choose an 11.5" barrel instead of a 12" or 13" barrel?
A shorter 11.5" barrel moves the balance point closer to your hands compared with longer barrels at the same weight. Many hitters find it easier to control and quicker through the zone, while still getting a responsive composite sweet spot.
What weights does the Horror Shop come in?
The USSSA Horror Shop Loaded is available in 25.5 oz, 26.5 oz and 27.5 oz. Choose the weight you can swing with control and consistent bat speed.
Does a composite slowpitch bat need to be broken in?
Composite bats typically perform best after a proper break-in period. Rotate the bat a quarter turn every few hits and use real softballs, not batting cage balls. You can also skip the work with our bat break-in service.
Can I use this bat in cold weather?
Most composite bat manufacturers recommend against use in temperatures below roughly 60°F, since cold makes composite fibers more prone to cracking. Cold-weather damage may not be covered by warranty.
How do I register the warranty on my Horror Shop bat?
The registration card is attached to the bat. You must register within 30 days of purchase to activate the 180-day warranty. For more details, see our warranty information page.
