What’s the difference between the USA Baseball certified CATX Connect and CATX?
The CATX Connect is a two-piece hybrid (aluminum barrel/composite handle) featuring a slightly end-loaded balance point, while the CATX is a one-piece aluminum featuring a more balanced design.
The CATX features our new Liquid-Gel dampening knob that helps dampen and dissipate vibrations and sting. The CATX Connect features the new SDX LT2 connection that is built using a new vibration-dampening material that has a lower durometer and is directly molded between the AZR barrel and handle during production.
What’s the same between the CATX Connect and CATX?
Both the CATX Connect and the CATX feature new streamlined barrel profiles built from our highest grade AZR alloy, designed to allow the mass of the ring-free multi-variable wall design to be more evenly distributed across the entire barrel for a wider, more consistent sweet spot.
Both bats lines also feature new custom-sized handle tapers for a more ergonomic fit, providing more bat control. They also both feature our micro-perforated soft-touch grip which is soft and tacky for improved feel and control.
Both bat lines are available in 2 5/8” -5, -8 & -11 Senior League and feature the USA Bat certification stamp making them approved for AABC Baseball, Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, Dixie Boys Baseball, Little League®, Pony Baseball, NABF and Dizzy Dean Baseball.
