How to Choose a Cheap Fastpitch Bat That Fits

Check Your League's Certification

Fastpitch leagues require specific stamps, such as USA Softball, USSSA, NSA or ISF. Many bats carry more than one. Always confirm your league's rules before buying, because a great deal only helps if the bat is legal for your games.

Pick the Right Length and Drop Weight

Fastpitch bats commonly range from -8 to -13 drop. Lighter drops help younger players build bat speed, and heavier drops suit stronger hitters. Use our bat sizing guide to find the right length and weight.

Balanced vs. End-Loaded Swing Weight

Balanced bats are easier to control and great for contact and slap hitters. End-loaded bats put more mass in the barrel for power hitters. Learn more in balanced vs. loaded bats.

Composite vs. Alloy

Composite fastpitch bats usually offer a bigger sweet spot and less sting, but need a break-in period. Alloy bats are ready out of the wrapper and handle cold weather better. Compare them in composite vs. aluminum bats.

Fastpitch Bats On Sale – FAQ

Why are these fastpitch bats so cheap?

Most bats in this collection are prior-year models, closeout colorways or overstock. When a new model launches, the previous version often drops below MSRP even though it performs the same. That's how you get a cheap fastpitch bat that still swings like a premium one.

Are discount softball bats lower quality?

No. These are new, name-brand fastpitch bats from Easton, Rawlings, Marucci and more. Being on sale reflects pricing and timing, not quality. Each bat includes a warranty. See our warranty information page for details.

Are sale fastpitch bats legal for my league?

A fastpitch bat is legal if it carries the certification your league requires, such as USA Softball, USSSA, NSA or ISF, and hasn't been decertified. Check the stamp on the bat and confirm with your league before you buy.

What size fastpitch bat should I buy?

Bat size depends on the player's height, weight and strength. Use our bat sizing guide to find the right length and drop weight before you order.

What's the difference between the Easton Ghost models?

The Ghost OG, Ghost Advanced and Ghost Unlimited each have a different feel and price point. Our Ghost OG vs. Advanced vs. Unlimited comparison breaks down which one fits your swing.

Is my composite fastpitch bat broken or just broken in?

Composite bats can sound and feel different as they break in, which isn't always damage. Learn the difference in is your composite bat really broken.
