Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Retail Sales Associate. This role involves assisting both in-store and online customers with product selection, answering questions, processing transactions, handling customer service duties such as returns, and ensuring every customer leaves with a positive shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right equipment or apparel for their needs.
  • Provide expert product knowledge for baseball and softball bats, gloves, apparel, footwear, and accessories.
  • Handle in-store and online inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Process customer returns and exchanges.
  • Other general customer service duties.

Order Processing & Retail Operations

  • Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately.
  • Assist with online order fulfillment, shipping, and in-store pickup orders.
  • Keep retail displays organized, stocked, and visually appealing.

Problem Solving & Customer Satisfaction

  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Follow company policies for returns, exchanges, and warranties.
  • Escalate complex issues to management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Retail, customer service, or sporting goods sales experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of baseball/softball equipment is aĀ major plus (or willingness to learn).
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer programs.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail seasons.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (bats, boxes, and gear).
